Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026.
1. Who we are
TalentEx (talentex.com.au) is run by TalentEx Employment Group Pty Ltd, ABN 16 703 133 297, ACN 703 133 297, referred to here as "we", "us" and "our". We run industry job boards, starting with AllAutoCareers (allautocareers.com), and a recruitment service, TalentEx Recruitment.
This policy covers this website and our recruitment service. It explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Our job boards have their own privacy policies. The AllAutoCareers Privacy Policy covers accounts, applications and everything else you do on that site.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, for people in New Zealand, the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
2. What we collect
When you visit this website. The website has no sign-in, no forms and no advertising. Our hosting provider logs basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and secure the website.
When you contact us. If you email us or use a "Talk to a recruiter" button, we receive whatever you send. That is usually your name, email address, phone number, business, and details about the role you want to fill or the work you are looking for.
If you use our recruitment service as an employer. We collect details about your business and the role, the people we deal with, and what we agree with you.
If you are a candidate. Where you contact us, a client introduces you, or you have chosen to be considered (including by ticking "I am open to opportunities" on AllAutoCareers), we may collect:
- your name and contact details;
- your CV or resume, work history, qualifications and licences;
- your working rights, location and the kind of work you want;
- notes about our conversations with you, such as when we contacted you and what you told us.
We usually collect this from you. We may also collect it from a client who referred you or from a referee you nominated, and we will tell you when we do. If we check references or qualifications, we will ask you first. We only collect sensitive information, such as health or criminal history information, with your consent and where it is reasonably needed for the role.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to run the service you asked for, and for closely related purposes you would reasonably expect:
- to reply to your enquiry and keep in touch about it;
- to find, assess and introduce candidates for the roles our clients ask us to fill, and to contact candidates about suitable roles;
- to keep records of our dealings with clients and candidates;
- to run, secure and improve this website and our job boards; and
- to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share information with
Employers. We put a candidate forward to an employer only for a specific role, after we have spoken with the candidate and they agree. Employers handle information they receive under their own privacy practices.
Service providers that run parts of our business for us, under their own security and privacy terms:
| Provider | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Microsoft | Email, calendars and document storage (Microsoft 365) |
| Cloudflare | Hosting and delivery of this website |
The job boards use further providers, such as database, email and payment services. These are listed in each board's own privacy policy.
Authorities and advisers, where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights, for example our lawyers, accountants and insurers.
If we are ever involved in a sale or restructure of the business, personal information may transfer to the new owner, who must continue to protect it under this policy.
5. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia and New Zealand. Microsoft and Cloudflare operate in Australia and in other countries, including the United States.
Before we use a provider, we take reasonable steps to make sure it protects personal information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles. By giving us your information, you accept that it may be handled in these countries.
6. Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, as described in section 2. The AllAutoCareers site works differently and explains its own use of browser storage in its privacy policy.
7. Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them, or who would reasonably expect them in connection with our service. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, as the Spam Act 2001 (Cth) requires. We do not sell or rent our contact lists.
8. Security and how long we keep information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. Connections to this website are encrypted, our email and files are held with a major business provider, and access is limited to people who need it. No online service is completely secure.
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as the law requires. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. If you ask us to delete your information we will do so within 30 days, except for records we are required to keep.
If there is a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the regulator, as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are a candidate, you can also ask us to stop considering you for roles. To make a request, email us at hello@talentex.com.au. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we aim to respond within 30 days. If we cannot give you access or make a correction, we will tell you why.
For anything you did on AllAutoCareers, such as your account, applications or job alerts, you can also use the settings in your account or follow the AllAutoCareers Privacy Policy.
10. Complaints, contact and changes
If you have a privacy question or complaint, email us at hello@talentex.com.au and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in New Zealand, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
We may update this policy as our business changes. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it last changed.
